Ten reasons to eat Fair Trade certified products


Fair Trade consist to work primarily with small groups of disadvantaged producers in the South, to build trade relationships with them fair and solidarity. This support has two main objectives: to ensure working conditions and decent pay for workers and encourage the development of production centers independently and sustainably. For consumers, Fair Trade gives them the opportunity to make a responsible purchase based on quality, and to choose a consumption in line with their values.

Fair Trade / Max Havelaar label is the international benchmark of fair trade. It is present in some forty consumers countries in North and allows the producers to fight by themselves against poverty in 60 developing countries. The criteria are checked by inspectors who regularly visit the field to verify that the criteria are met. This control follows the ISO 65 on independence and transparency. His work refers both to the European Commission and FAO.
